Posters & Propaganda

Here, what’s this then? These tubes, clustered here in the corner of the shop next to the bay window? I ran my hand across papery and canvas surfaces. Not valves or pipes then… I grabbed at the thickest tube and pulled it up onto the nearest object covered desk. It was tied at either end with course brown twine. A couple of tugs and the knots came undone. The pages slipped out in a rush, slipping across each other along the table and down onto the floor. Thick rich ink, bold striking words, images of places and events I’d never seen; an avalanche of posters and propaganda from some distant time.
